Kate and I grew up playing soccer together. Then 20 years later I shot her wedding on the MOST GORGEOUS DAY TO GET MARRIED that there ever was. This is the last wedding blog of the year so soak it in people!!! Yay Kate! And also, Sue Paulinkski!! Oh hi BEAUTIFUL bride-lady...how you doin? STOP. I swear on all that is holy these pictures are *barely* edited. Meanwhile, Matt and the gang were keeping it lax... Dapper dude! MARRIED! When we got to the venue, there were leaves upon leaves. These guys were happy. Quick story: While the guys were rounding up for the next picture I glanced over and saw this. I pray to the photography Gods to get ONE shot like this while shooting a 1-2 hour long kiddos session. And this just happened. Miraculous! I have since amended my contract to include a forewarning about my ridiculous reaction to dead rodents while shooting. Swooning. Party party party! Kate and Matt - congrats to you!!! Thanks for having me along :-)

I LOVED shooting this wedding. Andrea's older sister Ursula and I played bball together back in the day and I remember Andrea being around the court during our practices. Fast forward 4 million years and she and Joe are getting MARRIED. Say what!? This veil was epic. Nothing more to say about it. GORGEOUS. Just gorgeous. Meanwhile, my second shooter Angela hung with Joe and the guys... Joe reminds me so much of my youngest brother. Same goofy sense of humor. Same dapper looks! The big ole' Catholic church in my hometown was the scene of the ceremony. I am OBSESSING over these two shots Angela grabbed of Drea waiting to walk down the aisle. MARRIED!! Super fun bridal party = happy me :-) Skinny arm! Way to go, Doug! This fall has yielded the most beautiful and long-lasting foliage of.all.time! Like, seriously you guys? The colors!! We were done shooting portraits. Joe and Drea were walking to their limo. The clouds parted and this amazing stream of sunlight came outta nowhere! I dragged them back and oh boy am I glad I did. Love this.. Party party party! Andrea and Joe - THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU, it was such a pleasure being a party of your wedding day!
Perfect weather. PERFECT venue. Perfect Jeff and Lindsay :-) Let's dive right in, shall we? Lindsay's sister (and MOH) KILLIN it with her hair and makeup I've said it before, and I'll say it again...I have the most GORGEOUS clients around. Be jealous fellow photographers! MEANWHILE, business as usual with Jeff and the boys... Marrying time! LOVE LOVE LOVE the autumn floral arrangements... Here's a Cat Dunbar Photography first...my second shooter Amanda presented me with this STUNNING set of images of Lindsay and her father walking down the aisle. I tried over and over to cull this down to 1 or 2 for the blog and eventually gave up. Enjoy the abundance! Do I even need to mention that this is Jeff's mother? Same | Same! Sisters! Lead the way Jeffrey :-) Lindsay, I'm sorry for this...but being able to swig straight from the bottle so elegantly needs public documentation. After shooting some scenically-challenged weddings on Long Island this year, I must admit, shooting at the Full Moon Resort doesn't suck. Oh you guysssss... Jeff's Mom MADE this cake herself! Wow!! Lindsay and Jeff...many many MANY congrats to you both. Wishing you a lifetime of happiness <3 <3 Test One of my faves. EVER! Lydia and Kieran are just about the coolest, low-key IN LOVE and awesome couples I've met since starting my business. Lydia and I went to the same high school and graduated just a year apart but we never really knew each other. These guys were married a few weeks ago at a funky art space under the Brooklyn Bridge. For this wedding, I didn't have any of the typical "getting ready" coverage. When I arrived, we hit the ground running and got things started with a first look. Here's GORGEOUS Lydia who, in her words, "felt like a million bucks"....AGREED! And here is Kieran! He was a jittery Jack while waiting for Lydia. It was the cutest. Now for the first look! Urban scenery? Check! Amazing blue skies? Check! Oh, Kieran...YOU'RE KILLIN ME! We had plenty of time for portraits before the ceremony. WOot WoOt! Not again Kieran!! I swear, I cried more while shooting this wedding than I did watching Glee last night...true story. Some "just married" pics out in the street. Always my fave of the day... Party time! Thanks so my 2nd shooter/therapist/shmoopy shield Amanda for grabbing this ring shot! The reception was set up like a cool, loungie type deal. There were 4 of these "pods" which looked on to a stage (or dancefloor)..so different and it was totally awesome! YAY YAY YAY! Lydia and Kieran, you guys ROCK. Thanks so much for including me in your day and CALL ME (or else) when you guys start having little Lydias and little Kierans :-)
INCOMING! Tons of pictures from Kerry and Jason's vineyard wedding are headed your way. These two got married in PERFECT marrying weather. 68 degrees, sunny, warm and BEAUTIFUL. I caught up with Kerry and the girls getting ready in their hotel suite... This whole (giganto!) wedding party was a lot of fun... Beautiful lady, inside and out :-) STUNNING! Meanwhile, kooky ole' Jason was being his usual kooky self... First look = more time for photos = yahoooo! Jason got the axe on this one but this is my most FAVORITEST shot of the day :-) Marrying time... Party time... First dance! Love this shot of Kerry's parents... 10 times out of 10 I would choose a rowdy reception over a conservative one...that's just how I roll. Kerry and Jason did NOT disappoint. K & J I loved being a part of your day!!! Thank you so much for having me along!
Before hitting the hay, I had to post a quick teaser of today's AMAZING vineyard wedding. Congrats Kerry and Jason!!
Remember Nina and Joe's colorful Long Island City engagement session?? I was so pumped for their wedding that day and when it finally arrived, it did not disappoint. They got married at a beautiful Poughkeepsie venue. I met up with Nina and the girls while they got alllll purty and whatnot... I loved all of Nina's "details." Props to her for planning everything from 400 miles away! DRESS TIME!!! I can't really explain why, but this shot of her sister and the dress is one of my favorites from the whole day... I could've stayed in that hotel room and photographed Nina's fierceness all day, but she had this whole wedding thing to go to, so I had to make do with 5 minutes MEANWHILE my fabulous second shooter Amanda was hanging with the guys... Mad Men! I love this shot of Nina, she locked eyes with Joe while walking down the aisle and her face lit up...I actually started to tear up a bit myself... My "tearing up a bit" then turned to stifled sobs when I turned to see Joe's reaction to his bride. Married!!! One of the reasons I really try to sell my couples on doing engagement sessions is that by the time the wedding rolls around, we are all comfortable together. We had limited space and time but Nina and Joe treated being in front of my camera like it was old habit. The reception was held under a beautiful tent.. First dance! Love this shot of Nina dancing with her Dad Congrats Nina and Joe!!! Thanks so much for having me along, call me when you have freakishly adorable children, k?
Buckle up people. This post is gonna be LOOONGGGG. Jenny & Matt's wedding was last weekend and being a part of it gave me the warm and fuzzies all the way through Sunday night. Such cool, cool people they are. I caught up with Jenny and the girls at her parents house. Chaos as usual! I think I nearly gave 9 people a heart attack taking this picture... Like, seriously? How GORGEOUS does Jenny look? My clients are sooooooooo goodlookin! MEANWHILE! It's marrying time! These guys had a humungo bridal party...which means they have lots and lots of people who love them... Print it, frame it, put it on the wall. LOVE Jenny and Matt's portraits. It was so hard narrowing down for the blog! Jenny had so many little DIY touches scattered around the reception. Yay Pinterest! This was hysterical. The guys all slid in in their skivvies to some good ole Bobby Seger (Risky Business style) Gotta respect their commitment! First dance Shout! A little bit softer now...a little bit softer now...LOOK! I spy my second shooter Amanda! She is my ultimate PIC. Photobooth fun time! This party was so rowdy, that at one point Jenny's sister started drawing mustaches and unibrows on people's faces. Huzzahhh! Matt's dance with his Mother turned into a Leo family bonding moment. So sweet! Jenny and Matt, you rock my world. Thank you for reminding me just why I love my job so much. CONGRATS!!!
