A few weeks ago I was doing wedding stuff with my collection of future Sisters in Law when Future Sister in Law Sarah got a text message and promptly declared..."my friend just got engaged!" A couple of days later said friend sent me an inquiry - her name is Meaghan and she wanted to set up an engagement session ASAP. I was happy to oblige. I met her and her hubby-to-be Brian in Manhattan today at her family's pub on 3rd avenue. After a beer and some casual "interacting" (my new favorite direction to give is "INTERACT!"....luckily Meaghan and Brian turned it into something really cute and awesome throughout our session) we strolled a few blocks into Central Park. The weather was perfection. First of all - I love Meaghan's beautiful non-traditional emerald ring. Second of all - they were both wearing bracelets that say "Love perfectly : Wait Patiently" which was one of Brian's late Grandfather's quotables. So sweet, and so fitting. When people are willing to lay in the grass - I am generally their #1 fan.... Meaghan and Brian - it was such a pleasure getting to know you guys! Congrats!

We got back from Vegas this morning and despite my still-packed suitcases stressing me out and red-eye exhaustion setting in, I couldn't resist posting some of my favorites from Chris and Tony's wedding. They were hitched in an adorable ceremony at The Flamingo's Paradise Falls and we celebrated afterwards at Margaritaville. Since I was the Maid of Honor I don't have any pictures from the ceremony but here are a few I snapped before and after... Getting ready at the Flamingo... Paradise Falls Yayyy! Here's Joe's Mom Chris and her new Hubster Tony... Some shots outside of Margaritaville... So I had put my camera away for the night (friends don't let friends drink and handle very expensive camera equipment) but then this amazing ray of setting sunlight crept in and did THIS to the cake. Swooon. CONGRATULATIONS CHRIS AND TONY!!!! We had such an amazing weekend. Many years of love&happiness to you both.
Today was super fun awesome and great. I spent the morning assisting a photogafriend in Long Island City and then met up with my gurlll Stacy afterwards. She has been spending most of her weekends in LIC since meeting her boyfriend Brian, who has an amazeballs apartment right on the water. Here's how it went down: Stacy: You wanna take city skyline pictures on the roofdeck patio? Me: Yuppp Stacy: OH! Can you take a few of me and Brian?...we have NO pictures together Me: YUP....anytime couples session?? Stacy: ANYTIME COUPLES SESSION! Brian: wait, what? Brian was SUCH a good sport. (He gets a 5/5 friend-rating approval as far as boyfriends go) It was a beautiful for day for chatting, strolling and taking some pics.... I'm having trouble inserting my usual little commentos. I don't know what to say, these pictures just make my heart so happy. Actually...I know EXACTLY what to say. Dear Stacy, I TOLD YOU SO. And you know what I mean. Print it, frame it, and put this next one on a wall somewhere PUHLEEZZEE. So cute. SO ROMANTICAL. Joe, you better be taking notes. too cool for school. This is Brian doing his Stacy impression. I give it a thumbs up. I believe in a thing called love <3 YAY!
So tomorrow I am picking up my new car and whether I felt like it or not (I didn't) I had no choice but to tackle item #28 on my 30 in 365 list. Yup, I cleaned out the trunk of my car. I know what some of you might be thinking..."what's the big deal? You cleaned your car....I mean get over yourself." Well SOME OF YOU might not realize that I am a hoarder on wheels and the epicenter of chaos just so happens to be in the trunk. Let's just take a look, shall we? I spy a barbeque from when we went camping IN 2010, 2 blankets (?), my winter coat, a radio and a chalkboard. Once I got all the big stuff out, there was a layer of random crap covering the entire surface of the trunk. I couldn't stop to take a picture of each item because it would've taken me 4 hours to get through it instead of 2....BUT I did grab some shots of my favorite bizarre trunk-dwelling possessions... FIRST UP: Steven King's IT. I was unaware of the fact that I owned this movie and now that I know it's been driving around with me everywhere I went for the last 4 years, I'm more than a little weirded out. MMM pretzels! This is another artifact from my one and only camping experience....2 1/2 years ago. Gross, I know. The remnants of my "Scuba Steve" costume circa Halloween 2010... Finally found my TWILIGHT dvd. One of 8 total DVD's discovered in the trunk. My FIT student ID! Yes, my middle name is Frances, WHAT OF IT? That's my Grandma's name and I wear it with honor so STEP OFF! The beautiful blonde toddler in this picture turned 7 yesterday. HAPPY BIRTHDAY LENNON! The "keepers" pile. SUCCESS!!! So I won't get weird or anything, but I'm actually really sad to be trading this car in. It was my first real "grown up" purchase 4 years ago, sparked by a spider-induced fender bender. So much has happened in the past 4 years - my sister got married and had 2 amazing kiddos, 2 of my brothers got engaged, so many people around me have moved up, moved out etc. etc. I can't wait to see what the next 4 years has in store. I will be experiencing it all behind the wheel of LIME GREEN VOLKSWAGEN BEETLE. get it.
Here are a few final shots I took for myself. Thanks little white Elantra! It's been fun. :wipes tears: I'm not really crying. Okay maybe a little. little darling, it feels like years since it's been here
here comes the sun here comes the sun, and i say it's all right Today is Rebecca's 14th birthday so I kidnapped her for some lunch, hunger games and an impromptu sunset portrait session at the beach. She just dyed her hair an awesome fire-engine red a few weeks ago...pair that with the goldeny sunlight and ocean-blue eyes and we are in business my friends.... BAM! uh ohhhh...i know I've mentioned it before....that thing that happens when I love a photo so much I can't decide between color and black and white...wulppp it just happened again. GORGEOUS gurrrrl. HAPPY BIRFDAY REBECCA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Dapper young Gregory was christened today. I was there to document. {Enter photos stage left} Gregory's Mom opted out of the glitzy glammy christening gown. Gregory and I gave her simply and chic wardrobe styling a double thumbs up. He IS a boy after all...anddd ohmygawwdd the booties! Is there anything more sweet than a gummy baby smile? Yeahhh nooo not really. This hat was very short-lived but Gregory made it work just long enough for me to grab this image. Baby makes 3. Love these. HOW YOU DOIN? The beautiful (and from what I hear, delishhh) cake. {WARDROBE CHANGE} Gregory and Daddy are matchers! Precious. Saved my favorite for last. Sleepy in Mommy's arms after an eventful day!
